I am very obsessed with this Japandi style interiors and those who follow my blog can see how much i love the natural materials and minimal interiors. Japandi style interiors are a harmonious fusion of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian simplicity. This emerging design trend combines the best elements of both Japanese and Scandinavian design philosophies.
In this post, I am featuring the home interiors of Creative Director ~ Prashanth Chauhan and Architect/Stylist ~ Anu Chauhan of Zero9 Design Studio, a decade old multifaceted interior design company which has designed many award winning projects.
Prashanth and Anu have designed their abode in Japandi style. Black was chosen as the neutral tone for this mumbai based home. The concrete wall and wooden flooring are balancing the black mosaic terrazzo flooring. The living room opens up to a balcony with hand plastered mud walls. I mainly loved the kaddapah flooring master bedroom with zen art and minimal wooden inserts.
Also a must mention is the bedroom design. Wonder how one can do wonders with such minimal decor. One of the key principles of Japandi style is the focus on natural elements. Wood, in its natural form or light-coloured finishes, is a dominant material used for furniture, flooring and accent pieces. This bedroom design emphasize clean lines, natural materials and a neutral colour palette.
