Colour Theory plays an important role in designing a home. With a wide range of shades, and depending on which hue is selected, colours can shift the mood of the room and impact emotions.

It is a popular colour that many interior designers gravitate to when creating a home’s colour story. A darker blue will give a more reserved and natural atmosphere.
When blue colour comes to mind, it can often be associated with happiness. The colour of clear skies, the ocean – all of these can subconsciously influence a person’s mood.
How can the shades of blue be used?
Lighter shades of blue, such as baby blue or sky blue can evoke a sense of calm and serenity. These soft hues are often used in bedrooms and bathrooms, creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere.
Mid-tone blues like turquoise or teal inject a vibrant energy. These shades are known for their ability to add a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. They work well in living rooms, dining areas, and offices.
Dark tones like navy blue or indigo can be employed in various design elements. These deep, rich shades exude elegance and work exceptionally well in formal spaces such as dining rooms.
This dark blue shade on the wall is very eye catching and the two dark pink upholster single seated sofas are playing the best contrast combo. My personal opinion is that they should have played more with the photo frame colour instead of opting the same colour.

This Scandinavian home with light blue shade is very appealing to eyes and photo frames on the whole wall are adding more colour to this pale blue. Dark blue shade sofa in the living room is adding more value to the colour.
Though this blue colour palette may not be everyone’s choice but i liked this particular blue shade along with contrast wooden furniture.

This mid-century style living room has a nice hue of blue color with contrast light pink celing roof. The blue sofas and the furnishings with hints of pink colour are adding more look to the room.
