Colours play an important role in home interior design.The choice of colours for room decor depends on your personal preferences and the atmosphere you want to create in the space. Some prefer bold colours with more artefacts and home decor items while some prefer neutral tones with minimal decor.
I am not a fan of bold colours and prefer the latter one i.e bland and lite colour tones with antique and minimal home decor. Rarely love some bold colour room decor of few interior designers.

Enhancing natural light: Contrary to the belief that dark colors make a room feel smaller, they can actually enhance the play of light and shadow, particularly in spaces with plenty of natural light.
Timeless appeal: Classic dark colors like navy blue, deep brown, or rich black have a timeless quality that can withstand changing interior design trends.

Bold colors allow interior designers to express their creativity and create visually stunning and impactful spaces. They can use these colors to make a bold statement or evoke a specific mood or emotion within a room. They use bold colours to break monotony, add a sense of drama and interest to an otherwise ordinary space
Recently I stumbled upon the below pictures with too much dark colours and it is not that dark colours are included as focal points but they are all over the room walls. But believe me they look so stunning and well played that you will fall in love with them.
