Entryway or Foyer area is the first glance a guest gets an impression about your home. Foyer area connects the home’s entrance with the rest of the interior. The design of the foyer area plays a crucial role in setting the tone for the rest of the space. It should reflect your sense of taste about home interiors and your personality.

Some prefer to clutter many things in the name of interiors but i prefer the home to be minimal and simple yet should content all our needs.

Some foyers have the feel of a room, while other entry areas resemble hallways depending on the size of the house. But whatever maybe the size of the foyer, making it more useful is more important. Foyer area can be made more appealing with just a bench, few cushions and attractive wall hangings.

Please consider below points while decorating foyer area:

  • The lighting is vital point. Natural light streaming in through windows can  brighten the space and establish a connection with the outdoors.
  • Furniture used in the foyer should be practical yet stylish. A console table with decorative accents or a beautiful mirror above it can serve as a focal point and offer a place for keys, letters and other essentials.
  • Incorporating a seating area such as a bench or small chairs, provides comfort and convenience for guests.
  • Flooring in the foyer area should be durable and easy to clean, as it will be exposed to frequent foot traffic. Tiles, hardwood or stone flooring are popular choices for their durability. Rugs can add more essence to the room.
  • Decor such as artwork, mirrors, wall hangings, plants and flower arrangements can add character to the foyer and personalize the space.
  • Storage solutions are essential to maintain an organized and clutter-free foyer area. Built-in cabinets, coat racks, or wall-mounted shelves can be both functional and decorative.
