These Arched Doorways stole my heart that I felt like writing a post only on these pastel coloured and vaulted shaped doorways.
The history of arched doorways dates back to ancient civilizations, where they were used as architectural elements in various cultures all around the world. The use of arches in construction can be traced back to the ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian civilizations and the Indus Valley civilisation. It was discovered that arches provided structural stability and distributed weight more effectively than flat lintels. Arched doorways and vaults were incorporated into their temples and monumental structures, showcasing the advancements in engineering and construction techniques of the time.
Enough of the history, now let us peep into our current project. The door designs in this home interiors are so unique acting as transitions, connecting the different spaces together. Pastel Green PU painted doors with brass handles and off-white laminates brings out the richness of the teakwood.
